Terrace drive project: Final before & after apartment tour

While I’ve shared much of the Terrace Drive Project apartment makeover through room reveals at various stages of the design process, I haven’t shown you just how far this little space has come yet! This final tour includes all the before pictures, and it’s amazing to look back and see what a difference the new design has made in this basement apartment. With its unique nooks and crannies, it took some creativity to make it a more inviting, livable home, and I love how the design reflects my friend Murphy’s personality – it’s full of color, fun, and a little bit of Southern charm! See all the small space decorating ideas below.
LIVING ROOM BEFORE

LIVING ROOM AFTER

The living room got a coat of white paint, a new area rug, custom pillows and mural, and an abstract painting by yours truly! Read all about the vintage-inspired rug in this post.
LIVING ROOM NOOK BEFORE

LIVING ROOM NOOK AFTER

The living room nook became much more functional as a work/dine area when I turned the window seat into a banquette with a long red-toile cushion. I added tassel fringe to a velvet curtain panel for a small divider and created a personalized neon light piece of art with Murphy’s favorite symbol, cherries. Read all about this fabulous pink Clare paint color in this post.

KITCHEN BEFORE

KITCHEN AFTER

The kitchen got a dramatic makeover with the help of paint, from the walls to the floor! The transformation was inspired by the new Samsung Bespoke refrigerator I added to this space, which you can read all about in this post.

BEDROOM BEFORE

BEDROOM AFTER

The dark green bedroom features a Mohawk Home area rug just like the living room, and accents from AllModern to make this a stylish, sophisticated boudoir. You can read all about the key additions I made in this post, like the grey nightstands and the art above the bed. Check out this green paint color in my paint guide.
